NiGHTS launch date changed

One of the more anticipated titles soon to release on the Wii has been changed to a 2008 release date.  Sega today announced that NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams will ship January 2008, in Europe & the UK.

The title, a sequel to the critically-acclaimed hit NiGHTS on the Sega Saturn, will allow players to take flight, unleash incredible airborne maneuvers, and explore seven worlds of imagination, dreams and nightmares.Sega also unveiled plans to reawaken the Artificial Life feature in NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, which gives gamers the freedom to oversee and develop their own sandbox environment enabling them to capture, raise, and even combine the inhabitants from the world of Nightopia, and has confirmed that the game will feature a two-player mode and network support at launch.

Many traditional gamers revere NiGHTS as being a reason all on it's own just to own a Sega Saturn.  We're looking forward to seeing how the sequel transfers to the Wii with the unique control methods available.  Frankly, it really could be something rather special, but you never know until you get your hands on it.  We plan to very soon, and we'll let you know.
