February marks the start of something new ... and the end of something lovely, too. Den of Wii as a blog is no more; the force is being shifted into www.DenOfGeek.com, where you can get the Dennis teams views, rants and raves about all the formats of gaming, from the point of view of real gamers. So we'll still be on hand to tell you the latest Wii news and reviews, etc. You might even discover other stuff that interests you along the way ...
As well as gaming, Den of Geek handles everything that's brilliant in a geeky way. Cult TV, movies and icons will cram their way through the net onto your screens at home. Don't click away until you've taken a dekko for yourself!
Thank you to everyone who has ever read, commented on or used our web site here at Den of Wii. We love you and we'll miss you in this intimate form we've known and loved. For those of you who would like to trace the work of those involved, you can catch me (Kim Kaze) and the team who contribute over at the Den of Wii Facebook group, which we'll keep running for now so you can comment, throw rotten veg - anything, really.
Once again, thank you all very much for being with us, and we'll see you over at Den of Geek!

With E3 in full swing, the info is literally pouring out of the games world and into our laps. And today? We get this ...
Launching in 2007, the new (and free) 'Check Mii Out' channel builds on Wii owners creating caricatures of themselves, their friends and celebrities. The two main components of the channel are an area where users can post Miis they have created to let others vote on their artistic abilities, and a competition element that lets users test their skills to create the most accurate likeness of individuals or other themes. The Check Mii Out Channel will appear alongside the Everybody Votes and Weather channels, etc. on your main Wii menu screen.
Perhaps Nintendo have noticed that certain sites are doing wuite well off the back of users posting their Miis and Mii creating ideas (such as Star Wars Miis, etc.)? It never hurts to give the people what they want, and if it is for free as they say, then fair play to them. For that's exactly what it'll be.
Of course, it won't do their general ratings any harm, either. After all, give people a place to express themselves, and they inevitably will do so. Just ask any blogger.
Ever wanted to express yourself through your Mii in public, but don't want to invite every Tom, Dick and Harry into your lounge? Now you can. Those lovely folks down at Mr Cloud have invested in a Nintendo approved project called Mii on a Tee, where you can send them your Mii by adding them as a friend on your Wii, and they'll print your Mii's face onto a T shirt which you pay for, and then can wear with true pride around town. Awesome!
That is ... if you really want your own face staring out at everyone from your chest region. It's not for everyone, but with summer heading our way there will certainly be a place for funky, original T shirts.
The web site, www.MrCloud.com is open to anyone for use. Nintendo's UK PR reps are thoughtfully giving journo types today the option of receiving their Mii on a T shirt for free, to promote the Wii system. So, if you see us adding a picture soon with one Kim Kaze wearing a crazy Mii T shirt, that's why!
Get in on the action if you want; send us your Mii Tee images to kimkaze at denofwii .com
Welcome to the section where you the readers will soon have ultimate power - the Mii Gallery!
The idea of this is quite simply - your Miis, all in one place. We want to see the Miis that get you stirring; whether it's you, a famous celeb you just can't get enough of, your Mum or some bloke who wandered blindly onto your Mii parade and you thought he looked cool ...
Either send us digital photos of your Mii to kimkaze at denofwii .com or add us as your friend on your Wii system, and then once we've added you back, you can send us your Mii of choice. To speed things up, try emailing the address above with your own Wii number so that we can counter add you immediately.
Den Of Wii's Wii number is 5004 9332 2179 7450!
