February marks the start of something new ... and the end of something lovely, too. Den of Wii as a blog is no more; the force is being shifted into www.DenOfGeek.com, where you can get the Dennis teams views, rants and raves about all the formats of gaming, from the point of view of real gamers. So we'll still be on hand to tell you the latest Wii news and reviews, etc. You might even discover other stuff that interests you along the way ...
As well as gaming, Den of Geek handles everything that's brilliant in a geeky way. Cult TV, movies and icons will cram their way through the net onto your screens at home. Don't click away until you've taken a dekko for yourself!
Thank you to everyone who has ever read, commented on or used our web site here at Den of Wii. We love you and we'll miss you in this intimate form we've known and loved. For those of you who would like to trace the work of those involved, you can catch me (Kim Kaze) and the team who contribute over at the Den of Wii Facebook group, which we'll keep running for now so you can comment, throw rotten veg - anything, really.
Once again, thank you all very much for being with us, and we'll see you over at Den of Geek!

Anyone who has been stuck in a boring situation with a laptop to hand can relate to how wonderful video game pinball can be. Low tech it may seem, but that along with Solitaire has saved many a train journey from turning into a nightmare. So, Pinball games should be greeted with respect. There's one heading towards the Wii at the moment; Southpeak Games are toting Dream Pinball 3D as 'the most intense visuals and ball physics a pinball game has ever seen.' No easy claim, since Pinball video games have been around about as long as video games themselves. Wii screenshots below - gobble 'em!
"Everyone loves pinball. It is an unusual kind of entertainment in that it bridges hardcore and casual gamers, while translating very well to videogames," said Melanie Mroz, SouthPeak Games. "We are going to give the medium the respect it deserves." (cont)
Oxygen announed today that PDC World Championship Darts 2008 will be in store for January 25th 2008 (PS2, PC), with the Wii version (that has already gone gold) following in mid February 2008. Perhaps you've never bought a darts game before and might be thinking that it's something for lager drinking men down the local tavern? If that's you, then don't worry. Oxygen have helpfully released a PC demo version of the game for you to give a once over, helping you decide if you're interested in a darts game on your Wii, or not.

Here are some screenshots from the upcoming Majesco title Wild Earth: African Safari. The aim is pretty straightforward, you explore various terrain shooting animals (with a camera that is).
Unlike the original PC version, this Wii outing will have some different features including: a co-operative 3 player mode and a mini-safari game that will let you play from the perspective of the animals.
